Parish and MSA Population Data

Population figures for 1969 – 2009 come from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) Regional Data. This BEA uses data from the Census Bureau midyear population estimates. The figures from 2010 – 2020 come from the Census Vintage 2020 estimates. The figures from 2020 – 2021 come from the latest Census Vintage 2021 estimates. These reflect midyear population estimates.

These estimates should be used with caution as we are still awaiting intercensal estimates that may not reflect the large jumps we see from 2019 to 2020 as a Decennial Census was released in 2020.
